In 2017, FMS announced its "Flagship" in aircraft, the A-10 Thunderbolt II. Known for its impeccable model look and tremendous performance, the "Warthog" is truly a favorite of pilots and also spectators.To make this must-have even better, FMS made a major engineering effort starting with the first generation A-10, and improving the design and performance to create the A-10 V2.Retaining features such as the screw-in airframe, ball-jointed control surfaces, and heavy-duty spar, the A-10 V2 is as practical as its predecessor. Model details remain impeccable with realistic rivets, structural lines, removable bombs and rockets, and of course its realistic CNC machined and suspended landing gear to name a few.While retaining all these features, the A-10 V2 receives ten major improvements in structure, electronics and realism:Upgraded Controls: The two 70A controllers are replaced by two 80A Hobbywing controllers, with an external 8A BEC for rock solid performance. Improved servos: 23-gram metal gear rudder and elevator servos replace the 17-gram servos of the first version, which means more torque for even better control surface performance. Precision Landing Gear: The nose wheel has been redesigned to reduce play, ensuring a precise straight shot even at high speeds. Improved connectors: The "soft' connector" design significantly improves the reliability of the quick release wing system. Increased elevator travel: Gives pilots more authority and accuracy. Improved Tires: Improved, more durable rubber increases wheel life, even on rough trails. Heavy-duty canopy lock: Extended canopy lock pin reduces the risk of accidentally losing the canopy in flight. Expanded battery compartment: Now accepts up to two 6S 3300 mAh LiPo packs for significantly longer battery life! New decoration: It is even more attractive than the original one! New pilot bust.
