The E-flite® Twin Timber 1.6 m isn't just "another Timber with an extra motor" - it's the most capable, durable, stable and unique wood model yet! All the appreciated features of other Timber models are here: damped landing gear with oversized Tundra-style wheels, optional leading edge slats; functional flaps and an LED lighting system with landing and navigation lights and strobe lights. The Twin Timber 1.6 m also features a large top hatch for faster, easier battery changes. What's more, it's equipped with the strongest landing gear ever fitted to a Timber model, for enhanced durability and STOL (short takeoff/landing) capability when you're flying over rough terrain! More powerful brushless motors fitted as standard are 3S and 4S compatible and are matched to an exclusive Spektrum ™ Avian ™ Dual Smart 40-amp ESC that can provide a wealth of real-time power system telemetry data with Smart and non-Smart batteries via compatible receivers (including the AR637TA installed in the BNF® Basic version) and Spektrum AirWare™-equipped transmitters. The BNF® Basic version is equipped with an AR637TA receiver to provide maximum range, real-time telemetry data such as battery voltage, ESC temperature, and much more - as well as differential thrust and motor reversal for special ground evolution and other capabilities - as well as the benefits of AS3X® and SAFE® Select Technologies (for optional use). The larger 2-piece wing adds stability, and the oversized control surfaces with flaps that can move in either direction offer control and the same capabilities as the Timber X models. Also included are optional full-span ailerons. Solid connectors make it easy to install and remove the wing, and there's even a custom-designed clip in the fuselage that holds the wing seal in place so you don't lose it when the wing is disassembled. Best of all, the wing-mounted motors make it almost impossible to break the propellers or damage the motor and mounts if you happen to take a nosedive! They also offer fantastic clearance when flying with the optional floats, which are also present on the Timber X 1.2 m and Timber 1.5 m models. It all adds up to a great first twin-engine model: short take-off and landing (STOL), sporty everyday evolution and even aggressive aerobatics for a wide range of pilots!
