The HobbyZone® Carbon Cub S 2 is the easiest to fly, highest performing and most versatile RC trainer to date! It is equipped with the exclusive SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology that helps prevent overshoot, loss of orientation and crashes so that everyone can learn to fly successfully. Beginner, Intermediate and Experienced modes let you choose the level of stability and control you need, or are willing to try, at the touch of a button. And you can instantly return to stable flight with Panic Recovery at the touch of a button in any flight mode. Oversized tires allow you to take off and land on a variety of surfaces, including thick grass, gravel roads, dirt runways, and you can install the optional floats to fly on water - adding to its versatility and unmatched capabilities.
The Carbon Cub S 2 is equipped with a 30-amp telemetry-enabled ESC that provides a variety of real-time telemetry data related to the power system, including engine speed, current, battery voltage and more to Spektrum™ AirWare™ compatible transmitters equipped, and even approximate remaining flight battery power via the multi-color LEDs on the DXS transmitter included with the RTF version. The addition of exclusive Spektrum Smart components, including a lithium polymer (LiPo) battery and charger, makes it more convenient to charge correctly and safely (battery and charger sold separately for the BNF® Basic version). You also have the option to easily upgrade to GPS SAFE Plus technology that offers features such as automatic landing and virtual fence, as well as the option to install the LAS (Landing Assist Sensor) that automatically turns on for soft landings, to make learning to fly and land safely easier than ever!
The ready-to-fly (RTF) version includes everything you need to fly in one box, and is the perfect choice if you're a new radio-controlled pilot. From the Spektrum DXS 2.4GHz transmitter that you can use with other Bind-N-Fly® (BNF) and BNF Basic devices after learning to fly the Carbon Cub S 2, to the 3S 2200mAh Smart LiPo battery that offers long flight times and the convenient S120 USB-C Smart charger that can be used with a variety of USB power sources, there's nothing more you need to buy or provide! A BNF Basic version is also available for experienced pilots who want to use their favorite Spektrum transmitter with the batteries and chargers they may already own. And for both versions, the powerful and efficient brushless power system, which includes a telemetry-capable electronic stability controller (ESC), as well as the flight controller, receiver and servos, are all factory-installed in the rugged EPO airframe that assembles quickly and easily without glue or special tools.
