The Spektrum AR631+ AS3X+ telemetry receiver is a DSM2 and DSMX compatible receiver. Its small footprint is designed to fit into a wide range of aircraft models, including parkflyers and large sports models. The AR631+ is a 6-channel, full-range receiver with integrated AS3X+ and SAFE stabilization, which counteracts the effects of wind, turbulence and torque using a 3-axis MEMS gyroscope and exclusive flight control software tuned by expert RC pilots. There's no delay in control response, and no limits on control commands. You'll simply feel like you're flying an expertly-tuned model that does exactly what you want it to do.
The AR631+ is equipped with telemetry and a link button for easy connection without the need for a pairing plug. It offers both SmartSafe and Hold Last technology, as well as pre-programmed safety types. A long 230 mm 2.4 GHz antenna, perfect for optimum reception when installed in confined spaces. The AR631+ also features intelligent telemetry support.
Thanks to Smart Technology, the normal servo connector supplies the throttle signal to the ESC, which can also send telemetry data such as voltage and current back to the receiver. The AR631+ receiver port (channel 1 port only) will automatically detect when an ESC compatible with Smart Technology is connected. ESCs equipped with Smart connectors and the IC series can also transmit battery data from compatible Spektrum Smart batteries. Spektrum Avian™ ESCs are compatible with the AR631+ receiver for Smart Technology functionality.
For Smart to work, you must have a Smart ESC paired with a Smart telemetry receiver, and a Spektrum DSMX transmitter with telemetry. You may need to update your transmitter for Smart functions. Visit www.spektrumrc.com to register and update your transmitter. If a standard ESC or servo is connected to the AR631+ receiver port, the port will operate normally (PWM signal) like any conventional RC system.
Exclusive to Spektrum™ AS3X+® technology improves flight stability by countering the effects of wind, turbulence and other external forces to help your aircraft fly smoothly and accurately. You'll feel like you're flying an expertly-tuned model that works exactly the way you want it to.
SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology flight modes help pilots avoid over-controlling their models. SAFE uses the AS3X+ to deliver normal flight performance, but with limited bank and pitch angles to prevent the aircraft from assuming extreme attitudes.
The AR631+ features an extra-long 230mm 2.4ghz antenna, specially designed for use in narrow installations. When installing your receiver in aircraft where space is less than ideal, away from batteries and other equipment, a long antenna is essential. This allows users to install the receiver in tight spaces and isolate the antenna for optimum reception and link quality. When installing your antenna, it's best to keep it at least 75 mm away from batteries, electronic speed controls (ESC), ignition systems and other electronic devices. Use the logbook's built-in telemetry to perform a full range test to better evaluate your installation.
You can configure the AR631+ wireless receiver, directly from any Spektrum™ compatible transmitter, via the Forward Programming menu. No separate computer or mobile device is required for configuration and settings.
To enjoy the full benefits of Smart™ technology, use the AR631+ receiver with a Smart ESC and a telemetry-capable Spektrum DSMX® transmitter. The AR631+ features on-the-fly telemetry and provides essential telemetry data such as current, voltage, temperature and rpm, which are sent directly to your transmitter. The AR631+ is not compatible with Spektrum telemetry sensors. For more information on intelligent technology, please visit our Spektrum intelligent technology page.
