Spektrum AR630+ AS3X SAFE 6-channel DSMX receiver

Introducing the Spektrum AR630+, AS3X+ and SAFE 6-channel receiver.

The AR630+ features overflight telemetry, a dedicated button for easy binding without the need for a plug, SmartSafe™ technology, Hold Last and predefined safeties via advanced programming. It also supports Smart Telemetry and Smart Throttle. What's more, Smart template files enable BNF templates to be stored on the receiver automatically defining the linked template.

With Smart technology, the normal servo connector transmits the throttle signal to the ESC, and the ESC sends telemetry data such as voltage and current back to the receiver. The AR630+ receiver's throttle port (channel 1 port only) will automatically detect when a Smart-compatible ESC is connected. ESCs equipped with Smart and IC series connectors can also transmit battery data from compatible Spektrum Smart batteries. Spektrum Avian™ ESCs are compatible with the AR630+ receiver for Smart Technology functionality.

For the latter to work, you need a Smart ESC combined with a Smart Telemetry receiver and a Spektrum DSMX transmitter with telemetry. You may need to update your transmitter for Smart features. Visit www.spektrumrc.com to register and update your transmitter. If a standard ESC or servo is connected to the throttle port of the AR630+ receiver, it will operate normally (PWM signal) like any conventional RC system.

Please note: these transmitters do not support direct programming devices: DX6i, DX6G2 (EU version), DX7, DX7S, DX7SE, DX7G2 (EU version), DX8, non-computer transmitters.

SUPPORT FOR SMART TRANSMITTER MODEL FILES

Smart transmitter template files are a new feature of the AR630+ receiver that makes transmitter programming the simplest ever. It consists of a set of transmitter configuration parameters stored in the receiver's "Model" file. When linking to a receiver containing one of these template files, the user will be prompted to download the said file and delete the transmitter template currently selected by the one stored on the receiver. This will provide the user with a simple and easy way of acquiring a transmitter template configuration for their BNF model without having to configure it themselves or search and download the corresponding template online.

Note: Supported transmitters are currently iX20, iX14 and NX transmitters with the latest firmware updates.

SAFE® TECHNOLOGY

SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology flight modes help pilots avoid over-controlling their models. SAFE uses AS3X+ to deliver normal flight performance, but with limited bank and pitch angles to prevent the aircraft from adopting extreme attitudes.

The AR630+ features an internal antenna design that delivers superior performance across the range. Installation is easier than ever, and there is no longer any risk of failure due to exposure or long-term use of the antenna wire.

SMART INTELLIGENT TELEMETRY

with Smart ESC and telemetry-compatible Spektrum DSMX® transmitter. The AR630+ features fly-by-wire telemetry and will send vital data such as current, voltage, temperature and engine speed directly to your transmitter. However, it is not compatible with Spektrum telemetry sensors.

ADVANCED PROGRAMMING

You can configure the AR630+ wireless receiver, directly from any compatible Spektrum™ transmitter, via the advanced programming menu. No separate computer or mobile device is required for configuration and settings.
