A true 2.7" constant pitch across the blade gives a linear control feel across the entire throttle band while achieving high speeds. This allows for ease of flight and greater accuracy. With a special blend of PC, the Avan Babyhawk weighs 1.25 grams. Most of the weight is centralized near the hub, creating a low moment of inertia of 1.14 grams * square centimeter, making it a very responsive prop. The large blade rope makes the prop very durable. Best match for the original Babyhawk or any micro running 1104 5250kv motors with 2-3s batteries. Avan Babyhawk has a screw hole mounting spacing for both the original 1104 5250kv motors as well as a smaller hole spacing (5mm diameter spacing) for mounting on other smaller motors. With the new standard hole pattern, try them on EMAX 1106 6000kv engines for crazy thrust and speed.The Avan Babyhawk was built from the ground up from design constraints such as rpm, air speed and thrust requirements. From these constraints, aerodynamic models were built to predict performance and design the blade shape. Highly cambered airfoils were used to achieve high lift coefficients at high angles of attack extending the stall. This allows for a higher blade angle while remaining efficient. The cambered airfoils also allow for a larger flight envelope, which allows for great responsiveness at low RPM's while still being able to reach high speeds.A special polycarbonate blend is used to achieve high durability. This material is incredibly strong and ductile to resist breakage in high impact collisions. A thick blade root has been designed to further increase this durability.
