The UH-1D "Huey" was developed specifically for the Army to carry pilots, gunners and infantry of up to 10 people. The main cabin can also accommodate 6 stretchers, making it a good MEDEVAC helicopter. The first delivery of the "Delta" model to the army took place in 1963. 2,008 UH-1D "Hueys" were built for the army between 1963 and 1966.

This is the Roban UH-1D 800 ARF scale, offering unrivalled detail. From tip to tail, the UH-1D body kit displays an accuracy of detail in relation to the real aircraft not normally seen in the RC helicopter hobby. This kit comes with a very high level of detail. The fuselage is pre-painted, windows installed and all structural bulkheads fitted. All doors are pre-fitted and fully operational, including navigation and strobe lights.

This kit comes with a detailed, fully-lit cockpit with illuminated instrument panel, joysticks, rudder pedals, antennas, windscreen wipers and more. Complete aft cabin interiors are included (not installed). Floor and ceiling details can be designed so that once the interiors are installed, you have an impressively scaled cockpit/interior. A balance bar upgrade is available for the rotor head (sold separately).

The working/sliding door opens easily, providing quick access to the removable floor panel and battery compartment. These scaled-down kits house the cockpit in precisely the right place, and the mechanics are integrated into the engine compartment, just as in the full-size version. The UH-1D kit really impresses with its highly detailed, precisely reduced profile.
