As an ultra-micro replica of the very first jet fighter, the E-flite® UMX® Me 262 Twin 30 mm EDF is 3S-compatible to deliver incredible performance while remaining affordable and practical for flying in more places and tight spaces!
Key features :
and developed by Messerschmitt from Projekt 1065 in 1939, the Me 262 became the world's first operational jet f
ighter.
It entered service for the first time in 1944, and although its revolutionary design made it faster than almost any propeller-driven fighter of the time, its impact was limited by the relatively small number produced overall and its late entry into the war. Now, the E-flite® UMX® Me 262 Twin 30 mm EDF enables more RC pilots to own and fly a replica of this historic aircraft. It's one of the most unique ultra-micro models to date, and thanks to two 3S-compatible power systems, it offers first-rate performance!
Messerschmitt Me 262 is one of the most unique and recognizable aircraft of the Second World War. As the world's very first jet fighter, it was faster than any of the propeller-driven fighters against which it was usually pitted. The E-flite® UMX® Me 262 Twin 30 mm EDF is the most affordable and practical revolutionary aircraft model to date! It arrives fully factory-assembled and ready to fly right out of the box, including a fully-painted premium finish with decals. It features similar, optimized power systems to the popular UMX A-10, compatible with 3S 600-850 mAh batteries to meet modern EDF performance expectations. It also features optional AS3X and SAFE Select technologies, both finely tuned to provide real-time battery voltage and other telemetry information to compatible transmitters. And thanks to its ultra-micro size, the UMX Me 262 can be flown in more places and in tighter spaces than most other EDF models, such as parks and sports fields! The fixed landing gear with steerable front wheel makes it easy to taxi, take off and land on smooth surfaces. You can also leave the landing gear removed for greater speed and vertical performance, with easy manual launches - thanks to the Hand Launch Assist automatic mode - and landings on grass using the protective reinforcements at the bottom of the nacelles. It all adds up to an authentic, affordable and practical flying experience with the Me 262 that you simply can't get with any other model!

Skill Level 2 aircraft, like this one, are suitable for RC pilots who already have some experience and the necessary skills to assemble, configure and/or fly models of a similar class. And while this is the easiest Me 262 model to fly to date, it's not a first RC aircraft suitable for beginners, nor is it a first EDF (Electric Ducted Fan) jet model for intermediate to experienced RC pilots. You need to have the experience and skills to successfully fly simpler EDF models like the Habu SS (Super Sport) 50 mm or 70 mm E-flite before attempting to fly the UMX Me 262 Twin 30 mm EDF.
Are you new to flying RC (radio-controlled) aircraft? If so, the UMX Me 262 is not a suitable first RC model, and we recommend that you learn to fly one of our specially designed trainers, such as the Habu STS (Smart Trainer with SAFE) 70 mm EDF (www .horizonhobby.cc/HabuSTSRTF). It's equipped with the exclusive and innovative SAFE technology that enables almost anyone to learn to fly successfully! The basic Ready-To-Fly (RTF) version includes almost everything you need to fly (with the exception of a compatible LiPo battery and charger sold separately or together in a PowerStage economy pack) and is a perfect choice if you're a new RC pilot.
Composite-reinforced EPS construction offers a lightweight yet durable airframe that's also easily repaired with odorless CA cyanoacrylate glue/ foam adhesive, Foam 2 Foam, epoxy and other foam-friendly adhesives. Or, in the unfortunate event that you damage parts or components of the cell and can't repair them, a full range of spare parts is readily available.
