Mike Patey's undeniable passion, exceptional drive and work ethic (Back to Work™) have led him to design and build some of the most unique and incredible aircraft, while his infectious enthusiasm has inspired thousands to enjoy radio-controlled and 1:1 scale aviation along the way! Starting with a Wilga 2000, replacing his Lycoming O-540 piston engine with a Pratt & Whitney PT6A-28 turboprop offering around twice the power for half the weight, and after many further modifications, Mike proudly unveiled his "ultimate bush plane". It could go to the same places as a Carbon Cub but climb twice as fast, reach altitudes of up to 28,000 feet and cruise across country at 180 MPH while carrying four people and equipment. The modifications to the Wilga were so significant that the FAA approved Mike's redesign as an experimental display aircraft. The E-flite DRACO 2.0m was just as unique and stunning, and since its release has become one of the best-selling RC aircraft of all time! But many pilots have asked for a smaller, more practical, easier to fly and, above all, more affordable version. The 800 mm Micro DRACO offers all levels of pilot the most practical and fun-to-fly replica for intermediate to experienced pilots!

Inspired by Mike Patey's incredible ingenuity and effort in building this full-scale aircraft, E-flite has delivered the first officially licensed scale replica of his ultimate bush plane: the incredible 2.0 m DRACO. Since its release, many pilots have dreamed of and demanded a smaller, more affordable version, more practical and easier to fly in more places and in tighter spaces! The E-flite Micro DRACO 800 mm is just that. It's slightly larger than the UMX™ (Ultra Micro eXtreme) and other ultra-micro class models to better replicate its complex design while including as much scale detail as possible. It's still small and light enough to fly in large gardens, small parks, sports fields and more. It also features numerous surface details, such as: molded rivets, its panel lines, oscillating control surfaces, antennas, running boards, wingtip "stinger" skids and much more. Functional features include LED navigation, landing and simulated strobe lights, flaps and a steerable tail wheel. Oversized tundra-style tires on the sprung main gear with simulated KING shock absorbers absorb bumps and provide excellent propeller clearance, while also enabling take-off and landing on paved, dirt, gravel and even grass surfaces such as those found in many parks and sports fields.

The high-power brushless motor can drive the 4-blade propeller with a 3S 300 mAh battery for smooth, 1:1 scale-like flight, and can even perform basic aerobatics. Or, you can use a 4S 300mAh battery without any modifications or upgrades for scale-1-like vertical performance and more aggressive aerobatics! The factory-installed Spektrum receiver and ESC provide real-time telemetry, such as: overall battery voltage, current, engine speed, etc... to compatible transmitters equipped with AirWare™. What's more, the receiver is also equipped with the exclusive and expertly tuned AS3X. So you feel like you're flying a larger model - even in certain winds - with optional SAFE Select technology that makes your flying experience easier after you've previously mastered flying at least one or two RC aircraft! Best of all, Micro DRACO comes ex-factory with a fully painted finish and premium decals, and is mostly factory-assembled with a separate one-piece wing that can be installed or removed quickly and easily with a single screw.
