KAVAN Beta 1400 RTF - blue

The new KAVAN BETA 1400 retains the familiar curves of the original BETA 1400, yet is a completely redesigned model with slightly modified dimensions, a new wing section, brushless motor, folding propeller and superior accessories. The use of new molds and advanced EPO foam molding technologies ensures that all parts are finer and more precise. The BETA 1400, a real workhorse for training, is an excellent choice for beginners. It will take you from the first shocks to the basics of aerobatic or thermal flight without too much difficulty. Occasional pilots will appreciate its compactness and ease of transport, for a surprisingly relaxing flight.

The BETA 1400 is the perfect motor glider for beginners, powered by a brushless motor and controlled by ailerons, rudder and tail. Its sturdy yet lightweight fuselage made of virtually unbreakable EPO foam makes it accident-proof, or at least easy to repair in the event of a serious problem.

The EPO foam fuselage is equipped with a pylon-mounted C2814-1400 brushless motor, 7x6" folding propeller, KAVAN R-20B speed controller and GO-09 servos for elevator and rudder. The removable canopy is secured by a magnetic lock. Cooling air intake at the front of the pylon keeps the engine cool. The two-piece wing is supplied with two GO-09 aileron servos and their linkage already installed. The two halves of the wing are connected by a carbon tube and secured by screws under the wing. The tailplane is also made of EPO foam, and the elevator and rudder are controlled by metal rods.

Getting ready for the first flight is child's play: glue the horizontal stabilizer to the fuselage, assemble the wings and secure them with two screws, connect the receiver and flight battery, and that's it!

You'll need at least a 4-channel transmitter to fly the BETA 1400. Using a programmable radio with advanced options and blends is always an advantage, as it allows you to independently control the aileron servos to achieve aileron differential and aerodynamic brake blends. Dual rate or exponential settings make model control easier.

You'll need a 1600 to 2200 mAh 11.1 V LiPo battery to fly your BETA 1400.

The BETA 1400 is suitable for beginners (under the supervision of an experienced pilot, don't try to start on your own!), as well as for occasional pilots or anyone looking for a bit of fun. With its default configuration, it offers a gentle, docile model, ideal for learning and improving your flying skills step by step. You'll learn to handle the controls correctly and make coordinated turns using aileron, elevator and rudder simultaneously... everything you'll need for your next model, whether it's a full-size glider, an aerobatic aircraft or a semi-scale model. The design of the linkage and the option of adjusting it on the transmitter via a PC or Android/iOS app make it easy to adjust: a beginner can start with small servo travels, while an experienced pilot can opt for large travels and acrobatic figures. Loops, spins and hover turns are easy to achieve with the BETA 1400! There's enough power for a good climb, without too much to bother novice pilots. The BETA 1400 can even exploit weak thermals and stay aloft for long periods.

The ARF kit contents include: EPO fuselage with brushless motor, 20A speed controller, 7x6" folding propeller, 2 servos, EPO wing with 2 servos, EPO horizontal and vertical tail, carbon wing connector and instruction manual.
