The model was built to 1:4 scale so that the retractable landing gear and airbrakes could also be installed. Our four-stroke engines are mainly intended to be engines - Saito FA-56, 65, 72, 80 and 91 single-cylinder engines or boxer FA 90 TS and FA 100 T.
For all single-cylinder engines, our anti-vibration engine mount No. 7153/11 is used.
The installation of an electric motor is also possible - for example our actro 24-5 with a CAM Prop 14 x 8 or 14 x 9 ″ and 16 cells.

From an aeronautical point of view, our RF-4D is a delight. The wing has both aerodynamic and geometric torsion, which, combined with a very low wing loading, ensures excellent, balanced flight behavior.
It deserves to be flown "Scale", for the eyes and the heart! Radiant elegance, especially at low altitude, flying style - quiet to fairly fast. Moderate "classic" aerobatics are possible.
Loops flown with feeling, effective turns, barrel rolls and the like are no problem. As you're mostly flying with the engine at low revs, fuel consumption is minimal. Long approaches can be precisely divided using the airbrakes.

The wing is in two parts, the 18mm connector forms a duraluminium tube of the highest strength, the horizontal stabilizer is firmly glued to the fuselage (via carbon tubes).
Access to the RC equipment is provided by a large recess at the bottom of the fuselage.
The wing lock is also accessible here. The GRP fuselage is of the high quality to which aero-naut is accustomed, with molded root ribs for the wings and CPR, the aileron is already molded, also all the necessary implementations.
The GRP engine cowling divided horizontally into two parts already has guides to center the two parts. The cockpit equipment is based on the original, these parts are made of ABS plastic.
The assembly instructions give further tips on how to design the interior.

The retractable, spring-loaded undercarriage with 95 mm diameter hollow rubber tires has been specially developed for this model.
The duraluminium or steel sheet metal parts are precision-machined using a computer-controlled water jet, with various points brazed and powder-coated. It retracts into an ABS mudguard integrated into the fuselage.

The model kit contains : detailed building instructions with photos of the construction stage, construction plan with RC installation, GRP fuselage and cowling, Styro - Abachi wings, CPR in Styro - balsa construction, airbrakes, cone, retractable landing gear and support landing gear , spurs, exhaust and filling accessories dummies, canopy, ABS parts, CNC-milled parts in plywood and GRP, stamped parts, duralumin tube diameter 18/16mm GRP tube (plug-in guide), wing lock, prototype identification - layout, with transfer film, set of small parts.

All Saito FA 56 up to FA 91S with 15 ccm can be installed. Of course, the Saito FA-90TS 15 cm3 boxer engines and the FA-100T 16.4 cm3 are also ideally suited. To increase the safety of flight operations, we recommend the installation of a glow regulator, of which there is a wide choice on the market. Another advantage: there's no need for a starter battery (and the ugly hole for the spark plug connector). By the way, all the engines mentioned disappear completely under the hood! which accommodates all the single-cylinder engines supplied. It reduces the transmission of vibrations from the engine to the cell, and among other things reduces the noise emitted by the cell
