Ultra-EC 2M is 85% RTF - Ultra light thermal electro-glider. The latest technology and development of small, light and powerful brushless motors like the ART-500 and other lightweight drive components have created this super light electro-glider. The Ultras flight weight is approx. 460 - 500 grams (~16.2 - 17.5 oz.) It features the OP0830 airfoil specially modified for this glider, the advantages of which are:- superior thermal capabilities- very low stall speed- wide speed range- good air penetrationThe kit contains:model components, plans, step-by-step instructions, and all the necessary hardware.
The composite fuselage pod is composed of a few layers of lightweight fiberglass with fiberglass and carbon fiber reinforcements for added strength. It has a removable canopy for quick access to the radio and training equipment. V-shaped wing seat with molded-in nuts for wing mounting screws.
tapered tail boom made of carbon fiber/glass composite.
The wing cores are precision cut from white polystyrene foam, covered with a thin black poplar veneer bonded to the foam with aircraft grade epoxy in high pressure molds for perfect airfoil fidelity and a warp free wing.
The classic tail is made from balsa wood, is fully laminated and has pre-articulated control surfaces.
