The TwinShark is a motorglider with a 2700mm wingspan, the replica of the Czech size glider which has high performance flying qualities. This Rc model is made of expanded polyolefin reinforced with very resistant carbon which allows it a thermal soaring flight and a muscular slope flight. It is equipped with a brushless motor and ESC, a folding propeller and 6 servos already installed. As it is a PNP model you will just need to add your 4 cell battery and radio.
The EPO foam fuselage, fully carbon reinforced, comes with the KAVAN C3548-750 brushless motor, a folding 11x8" propeller and a KAVAR R-50SB ESC with a powerful SBEC switchable stabilizer needed to power the 6 servos on board. Removable canopy is secured by a magnetic lock. The cockpit compartment offers plenty of room for your receiver and flight pack. The elevator and rudder servos are installed in the vertical stabilizer. The two-piece EPO wing is reinforced with two carbon spars, the winglets are inserted into an aluminum joiner in the fuselage. The wing halves are fixed with a nylon screw. The ailerons and flaps (both reinforced with carbon tubing) are controlled by two pairs of servos installed in the wing driven by short wire push rods. The EPO "horizontal T" tail (both stabilizer and elevator reinforced with carbon tubing) is removable for easy transport/storage. A non-programmable radio would work because the aileron and flap servos are each controlled by a single channel (linked via Y cables). A 7 channel programmable radio will work better, the independent aileron and flap servo control and mixing (especially the throttle mixing creating an extremely effective airbrake by extending the ailerons up and the flaps down) will help you get the most out of your Twin Shark.
