TEK Futaba Variometer Sensor

Precision TEK FUTABA variometer with altitude and variation measurement via two autonomous pressure sensors With its small size and low weight of 5.5 g, the TEK robbe altitude and vario sensor is probably the smallest, lightest and most accurate sensor (with dual TEK sensor) in the world. The individual robbe-Futaba sensor identification (ID) is used to automatically configure the sequence and display unit when the sensor is registered (on the transmitter or telemetry box).

Features of the vario-altimeter unit:-

A high sensitivity of 2cm/s allows the use of the lowest thermals.
- The smallest altitude variation of the model is indicated.
- The TEK connection allows compensation of "stick thermals", so that speed changes are almost without effect with the vario output, sound and language.
- The second additional pressure sensor allows to give very precise altitude characteristics despite the TEK compensation of the variometer, which also induces an increase in sensitivity.
- This variometer is naturally altitude-compensated (a pressure change of 1mbar at sea level naturally corresponds to another altitude value at 3000 m altitude)
- Pressure to altitude conversion according to the ICAO atmospheric standard with meter accuracy.
- The vario TEK altimeter is particularly insensitive to radiation from 2.4 GHz telemetry transmitters.
- Software update capability via USB connector, i.e. updates and developments can be done by the user himself.
- Very low thermal and long term drift of the pressure sensor by mounting the pressure element on a ceramic support
