Program card KAVAN PRO

The LED programming board for KAVAN PRO series ESCs (also compatible with FOXY G2 ESCs) for aircraft is used for quick and easy ESC programming - at home "on the table" as well as at the airport. The ESC is connected via a servo cable, the plug is located on top of the box. Power for the board is supplied by the BEC stabilizer of the KAVAN PRO ESC or by a 4-5 cell NiCd/NiMH or 2S LiPo/LiFe receiver battery connected to the box (in the case of the OPTO ESC). Programming is done with the motor and the drive battery connected (also in the case of OPTO ESCs).

CAUTION: The KAVAN PRO LED programming card cannot be used to program the first generation FOXY ESCs and the first generation FOXY programming card cannot be used to program the KAVAN PRO ESCs.

KAVAN PRO air ESCs can be programmed in a model with a mounted propeller - for safety reasons, however, we recommend removing the propeller during programming - this will prevent a possible accident in the event of operator omission or error. Similarly, ESCs for cars and boats should be programmed safely on a stand with the wheels or propeller in the air or with the propeller shaft pinion or coupling removed.

Four buttons on the front of the card are used for programming. They are used to select the program functions ("ITEM") to be set and to set their values ("VALUE"). The "OK" button confirms the change and sends it to the ESC, the "RESET" button is used to erase all the settings and return all the values to the factory default settings. The function number of the program is displayed on the left side of the two-digit LED display ("ITEM"), the function value is displayed on the right side of the one-digit LED display ("VALUE").

The method of connecting the ESC to the LED programming board depends on the type of ESC - it varies depending on whether it is a BEC ESC with a power stabilizer or an OPTO ESC. When wiring, follow exactly the instructions provided with the board and your ESC.
