Like its predecessor, the DX5 Rugged, it features superb ergonomics. The result is a state-of-the-art RC system with unrivalled durability and other innovative features, all coupled with precision, versatility and convenience you won't want to do without.

To take on the elements, the DX6 Rugged offers you the versatility of 6 channels, plus a host of auxiliary switches for lights, winches, mixes and more. Its interface features an innovative new capacitive touchscreen control panel that offers greater resistance to humidity and is easy to use. Simply press to access the control panel and select menus, options and values. What's more, we've added backlighting to the easy-to-read LCD display, offering unrivalled brightness and clarity, even in the most challenging conditions. Built-in telemetry capability** lets you display vital data such as engine speed, vehicle speed, battery voltage and temperature, all on the transmitter in real time. What's more, the integrated USB-C port provides hassle-free firmware updates for uninterrupted functionality.

Molded thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) bumpers surround the radio's shell to protect it from drops, bumps and scratches during use. There's no external antenna to deploy or worry about: a discreet bulge on the shell internally protects the sturdy transmitter from the high-speed signal. A versatile front shell protector further enhances durability and provides mounting options for user-integrated accessories such as a camera, light source or other component. A pair of cord mounting points allow users to keep the transmitter close at hand and keep their hands free when not flying. An easy-access accessory compartment lets you carry small tools, such as a T-wrench that snaps easily into the supplied internal holder. We've increased the transmitter's water resistance* to give drivers peace of mind in wet or humid conditions. And finally, it features an aggressive off-road-style steering wheel that enhances its robustness. There's also an innovative thumb lever for safer, more precise one-handed control of your vehicle.

Enhanced capacitive interface

We've updated our capacitive interface to enable operation using pressure instead of swiping. This makes the panel much easier to use, and sensitivity can be easily adjusted in the radio's programming mode. This new interface has also been designed to work perfectly in a variety of environmental conditions.

New backlit display

The DX6 Rugged's new backlit LCD screen helps users navigate the intuitive software easily in any environment. The screen is excellent for viewing your radio in the dark, and is also legible even in the brightest conditions.

Unrivalled robustness

Starting with a shell based on Spektrum's superb ergonomic design, we were inspired by the shock resistance of cordless power tools. We adapted their engineering to the specific needs of the RC pilot. The result is a "bumper" made of shock-absorbing rubber that surrounds the transmitter shell to achieve a level of protection never before offered on a surface-mounted transmitter.

Aggressive styling

The DX6 Rugged stands out as a no-nonsense transmitter platform for handling the wildest terrain, the toughest conditions and the fiercest competition. That's why we've combined ruggedness with convenience. An integrated side compartment offers storage for tools, and two lanyard holders (one rubber, one molded into the frame) are provided so you can be hands-free instantly.

The DX5 Rugged, with its proven ergonomics, paved the way for the DX6 Rugged to offer a feel that any driver could appreciate. Its overall low weight allows all-day riding with minimal fatigue, while the non-slip rubber grip and throttle action offer a precision experience that feels natural.

Versatile shell protection

Front shell protection is integrated to further increase durability and allow users to integrate personal accessories and/or features such as a camera or light source themselves. The robust protection itself and its mounting points are at your disposal.

Revolutionary steering control

The aggressive off-road-style steering wheel surface allows the precision of Spektrum technology to deliver a tactile feel whether crawling, bashing or navigating in difficult conditions. The integrated thumb lever enables safe, one-handed steering with a higher level of precision.

Easy to program

Programming the DX6 Rugged is simple. An intuitive interface makes it easy to navigate menus and change parameters. Most users can perform complex programming tasks without consulting the manual. What's more, the integrated USB-C port enables hassle-free firmware updates.

Integrated telemetry

Built-in telemetry capability provides real-time information on your vehicle's battery voltage, signal quality and engine temperature.** Using the audio alert system, you can program the DX6 Rugged to alert you when specific telemetry values reach or exceed your defined limits.

**Vehicle must be equipped with a telemetry-compatible receiver such as the SR6000T (sold separately).

DSMR® technology

The DX6 Rugged is built around 2.4 GHz DSMR technology. This exclusive Spektrum™ technology can be used in any surface application, including boats. Its range and response, especially in noisy 2.4 GHz environments, are superb. It's also backwards compatible with marine-specific DSM2® and Spektrum receivers. This means that most long-standing Spektrum users can continue to use their existing receivers. You'll only need to upgrade if you want the frequency quality of a DSMR receiver for busy 2.4 GHz environments.

AVC® (Active Vehicle Control™) programming

The DX6 Rugged lets you customize an AVC system by offering easy access to dedicated settings. What's more, the Rugged's open channels can be used to independently set AVC steering and throttle systems. Whatever you're driving, AVC technology can enhance your driving skills with control, giving you the impression of driving a finely-tuned vehicle whose behavior is predictable whatever its speed.

5-channel receiver included

Built around DSMR® technology, the included 5-channel Spektrum™ SR515 receiver offers exceptional range and response, especially in locations where many 2.4 GHz systems are in use simultaneously. Unbeatable signal security in a small, modern housing make this sport receiver a top choice. What's more, we've integrated a versatile bind button, making it easy to connect without the need for an assignment socket.
