The SparkSwitch can be used to activate or deactivate the ignition circuit from the transmitter, and is suitable for use with power supplies including NiCd, LiPo or LiFe batteries.
The output voltage is linearly stabilized and regulated to 5.9 Volt (also available in 7.4V and 12V): a value that is suitable for all types of ignition systems.
The 5 mm LEDs are to be mounted in the area of the engine cover, in order to indicate the switched on or off status of the ignition circuit.
A particularly user-friendly feature is that the device detects when the receiving system is switched off, and therefore draws no current for the ignition. This means that there is no need for an extra switch between the battery and the SparkSwitch, and forgetting to turn off the ignition battery is no longer a problem.
As you would expect, the battery can also be recharged without being disconnected.
The power circuits for the receiver and the ignition system are isolated from each other by an optical coupler, which effectively prevents interference from reaching the receiver.
The set includes accessories such as the two connecting wires and the LED and mounting.
The SparkSwitch has also proven excellent in practice as an electronic switch for additional systems such as lighting circuits.
