OMPHOBBY presents the Edge 540 60 "in a Carbon/Kevlar-reinforced balsa version, coated with Oracover, highly durable and brightly colored. The Edge 540 is a 3D BEAST. This plane will do everything you want and more. If you don't like 3D flying, don't be afraid, this plane also flies well as an Aresti-style aerobatic plane.
It can be fitted with a brushless motor from 1200 to 1600W and a 6S LiPo battery. The fuselage Extremely lightweight balsa/plywood fuselage reinforced with Kevlar®/carbon composite, with numerous carbon parts, a removable fiberglass cowling and a large canopy providing perfect, easy access to the entire power system and RC equipment. The motor is mounted on a reinforced plywood/composite housing using a radial support.
The two-piece wing is made entirely of balsa, with a symmetrical aerodynamic profile and a carbon wing key, The wing halves are bolted to the fuselage. The large ailerons are each controlled by a single servo. You can install the supplied SFG winglets on the wingtips.
The tailplane is made of lightweight balsa wood, the "horizontal" tail is a single-piece unit, glued into the fuselage. The elevator and vertical stabilizer are controlled by servos installed in the aft fuselage.
The main undercarriage is carbon, with fiberglass fairings, lightweight wheels and a tailwheel with a support. tailwheel with carbon support is coupled to the vertical stabilizer.
