The Pilot-RC Edge 540 V3 85″ is a radio-controlled aircraft designed for aerobatics and 3D flight. This 2.16 m wingspan version features the modern lines of the full-scale Edge 540 V3.

Its airframe combines a wooden structure with composite elements designed to reinforce the fuselage and wings. The model is covered with original German Oracover. Pilot-RC states an empty weight of around 7.7 kg and a wing area of 8,880 cm².

The wings, stabilizer, and canopy benefit from a patented quick mounting system. The wings and stabilizers are removable to make transport and storage easier. The hinges are factory-installed, glued, and pinned.

The engine cowl is mounted from the inside, with only two screws accessible under the fuselage. The engine mounting position is laser-engraved. The open structure also makes it easy to install a canister-type muffler.
