The Pilot-RC Sbach 342 V2 75″ is an ARF acrobatic RC airplane with a 1.90 m wingspan, designed for a 30 to 40 cc gas engine or equivalent electric power. Its hybrid construction of wood and composite materials is intended for precision aerobatics and 3D flight. Pilot-RC states a weight of 5.6 kg.
The Pilot-RC Sbach 342 V2 75″ is a radio-controlled aerobatic aircraft designed to combine the flight characteristics of the previous Sbach 342 73″ with the performance required for modern XA aerobatics.
With a wingspan of 1.90 m and a wing area of 7,264 cm², it is intended to be equipped with a 30 to 40 cc gasoline engine or an equivalent electric power system.
Its airframe features a hybrid construction combining plywood, fiberglass, and carbon fiber. The fuselage and wings are reinforced to withstand the demands of aerobatic flight. The covering is applied over a German-made Oracover base.
The Pilot-RC quick assembly system is fitted to the wings, stabilizer, SFGs, and canopy. The wings and stabilizer can be detached without tools to facilitate transport and reduce preparation time at the field.
The hinges are installed, glued, and pinned at the factory. The engine mounting position is laser-engraved. The engine cowl is attached from the inside, with only two screws accessible from under the fuselage. The open structure also makes it easier to install a canister-type muffler.
The rudder linkage can be set up as either a pull-pull or push-pull system.
