The Pilot-RC Sbach 342 V2 103″ is an ARF RC aerobatic plane with a 2.65 m wingspan, designed for a 100 to 130 cc gas engine or equivalent electric power. Its hybrid construction of wood and composite materials is intended for precision aerobatics, 3D flying, and XA aerobatics. Pilot-RC lists a weight of 12.9 kg.
The Pilot-RC Sbach 342 V2 103″ is a large-scale radio-controlled aerobatic aircraft. This new generation combines the smooth handling of the previous 107″ Sbach 342 with the performance required for modern Xtreme Aerobatics.
With an exact wingspan of 2.647 m and a wing area of 12,100 cm², it is designed to accommodate a 100 to 130 cc gasoline engine or an equivalent electric power system.
Its airframe uses a hybrid construction combining wood and composite materials to reinforce the fuselage and wings. The covering is applied on a German-made Oracover base.
The Pilot-RC quick assembly system is fitted to the wings, stabilizer, and canopy. The stabilizer can be removed without tools to simplify transport and reduce preparation time at the field. The main landing gear can also be disassembled into two independent parts.
The hinges are installed, glued, and pinned at the factory. The engine mounting position is laser-engraved. The engine cowl is fixed from the inside to keep the exterior surface free of visible screws. The open structure also makes it easier to install canister-type mufflers.
