The Extra 260RR was created in honor of our dear friend and Precision Aerobatics family member, Clarence "Radio Rookie" Boudville. One of PA's greatest fans, Clarence's passion introduced PA planes to Malaysia and inspired an entire community of amazing pilots. This aircraft carries his spirit in every detail.
Based on the legendary Extra 260 launched in 2008—one of PA’s longest-lasting best-sellers—the 260RR is not just a redesign. It’s an entirely new airframe and philosophy, developed completely from scratch to create the most refined and enjoyable-to-fly 48-inch plane ever made.
This is the world’s lightest fully built 48" model, designed for maximum efficiency. While other brands rely on heavy, expensive high-voltage setups for short flights, the 260RR delivers outstanding performance with a simple 3S 2200mAh battery, allowing for long and enjoyable flights. Vox 12×8 Our first choice for the Extra 260 when using the optional vortex generators (VG). This propeller is specifically tuned for high-energy XA flight and extreme 3D. The higher pitch provides excellent airspeed for aggressive maneuvers like crankshafts and pop-tops, while maintaining great low-speed control for rolling harriers and high angle of attack knife-edge flight.
Vox 13×6.5 Slightly slower in flight speed compared to the 12×8, but with increased thrust and hovering authority, as well as better performance in vertical maneuvers. The extra prop wash improves stability and control in slow 3D, while still providing excellent high-energy aerobatic performance. A must-have option for XA/3D-oriented pilots.
NOTE: Adequate airflow for motor and ESC cooling is mandatory. Proper throttle management is required.
Thrust 45 Revo / 3S
Vox 14×8 (Recommended) Our top choice for 3S setups with the Extra 260. Optimized for slower, more graceful 3D flight, this propeller provides excellent thrust and prop wash for slow harriers, slow knife-edge, and high angle of attack maneuvers.
Offers strong recovery power when exiting a hover and torque rolls, while allowing moderate speed maneuvers with an overall smooth, “large scale style” appearance.
Vox 13×8 A well-balanced propeller for sport aerobatics and precision flight. It offers a higher flight speed than the 14×8 with slightly reduced hovering power, making it an excellent choice for pilots seeking smooth, precise aerobatics as well as pattern-style flight.
