its inception, Traxxas has designed the Maxx Slash to incorporate all the features of the legendary Slash, but infused with the massive power of a 6s vehicle. The "Belted" Maxx SC tires amplify the Short Course experience with incredible traction and stability even at over 110km/h. An all-metal drivetrain and "Steel-Core" hybrid driveshafts give the Maxx Slash all the inherent solidity that Traxxas products are famous for.

Traxxas engineers used years of real-world testing with the nearly indestructible Maxx as inspiration for the Maxx Slash's revolutionary chassis design. Hexagonal reinforcements cover almost every flat surface for exceptional rigidity. An ultra-strong composite structure designed from interlocking elements enables the chassis to absorb substantial shocks while maintaining tight tolerances.

Slash skid plates enclose the central drive shaft inside a rigid spine for superior protection. Ultra-thick skid plates interlock for a sleek appearance and smooth performance in the wild. Heavy-duty skid plates absorb shock to protect critical bulkheads and transmission components.

OPTIMIZED AIRFLOWThe

innovation Traxxas used on the XO-1 Supercar to reach speeds of 160km/h paved the way for the aerodynamic design of the Maxx Slash. Under the Short Course, interlocking skid plates allow the underside of the chassis to lie flat to reduce drag. Openings in the bodywork reduce lift to improve both high-speed stability and ventilation.

STRONGER BODYWORK WITHOUT CLIPSThe

Maxx Slash uses locking tabs that hold the body firmly in place, but release in seconds to access the chassis. Additional side supports fit into specially designed nerf bars to increase body rigidity. A sturdy internal cage supports the body with oversized external reinforcements to protect it from wear and damage caused by obstacles encountered.

VXL-6s speed controller is custom-tuned to extract the maximum torque from the Velineon 2000kV motor. HYBRID DRIVE SHAFTS WITH STEEL ARTICULATIONThe

new "Steel-Core" hybrid drive shafts feature innovative internal steel articulations, wrapped in durable nylon composite materials. They offer the strength of steel combined with fluid telescopic action that enable these ultimate driveshafts to operate under 6S. The new "U"-shaped yokes are modified to improve circlip retention while eliminating it on one side. The entire spindle is now made entirely of steel for even greater strength.

SIMPLE BATTERY ACCESSThe

Maxx Slash's versatile battery compartment can accommodate a single high-capacity 4s 6700mAh battery, two 2s 7600mAh or two 3s 5000Mah for 6s operation. The batteries are positioned deep inside the reinforced honeycomb frame for maximum protection and low CG maneuverability. The batteries are held securely by a snap-lock arm, but this releases in seconds for quick access.

OPTIONAL LIGHTINGDesigned

to handle the brutal blows of the real world, the Maxx Slash LED lighting kit (part number: 10290) is waterproof and built with Traxxas solidity for maximum fun. Make your way through the night with this high-output LED lighting kit. The included high-voltage amplifier contains the muscle needed to efficiently power the high-power light bar with a tightly regulated output for stable lighting performance, with no flicker or dimming when battery voltage changes.

Maxx Slash rides on large-diameter Short Course rims with a large glue surface for secure mounting of Talons tires. The rims are fully sealed to keep out dirt and water that can upset wheel balance and degrade foam inserts. A 17mm internal splined hex offers maximum power transfer with an external nylstop nut for a more realistic appearance.

Maxx Slash's integrated shock mounts are part of the chassis, producing a rigid, triangulated structure for mounting and protecting shock caps. Sturdy body mounts attach directly to the reinforced shock mounts for maximum strength and impact resistance.

engine and cradle join to form a fixed spacer. A heavily reinforced mounting plate in the chassis holds the motor and crown in perfect alignment. This innovative solution eliminates bending and considerably extends gear life.
