The Pioneer PowerBox is the latest development of a 14-channel, voltage-regulator-free power supply designed for HV servos. Since the unit has no voltage regulators, nor the large heat sink areas needed for them, it offers ultra-compact dimensions. Even so, the Pioneer still provides redundancy, as is standard for all power supply units manufactured by PowerBox-Systems. The output section and switch controller are duplicated to ensure maximum safety.
A feature that makes the Pioneer unique in its class is its built-in iGyro technology, which requires only the optional iGyro SAT as a sensor unit. When plugged in, the sensor unit transforms the power supply into a state-of-the-art, high-performance 9-axis gyroscope. The integrated iGyro is ultra-simple to use and can be configured in minutes, ready for the initial setup flight. The Pioneer offers unlimited fine-tuning facilities, making it suitable for complex models and perfectionists. Stick priority, lock feel and gyro characteristics can be adjusted separately for each axis and for two ranges, to name the most important one.
The package is rounded out by the convenience and ease of use, as PowerBox and Jeti pilots can configure and control all aspects of the Pioneer from the transmitter! Optionally - and for Futaba drivers - the Pioneer can be configured using the BlueCom adapter and smartphone app, or using a PC in conjunction with the USB interface.
In terms of performance, the Pioneer compact concedes nothing to the biggest contributors. Numerous rounds of testing were conducted with a 40A load for several minutes, and we guarantee a continuous current capacity of 20A. The elegant aluminum heatsink provides the necessary heat dissipation, and even the external switch comes in a high-quality anodized aluminum case machined from solid.
As an additional option, the new Pioneer is also available with the MicroMag magnetic switch. This switch can be installed visible or hidden and turned on with the included magnet.
