Introduction

Miniaturized after the very popular Slow Ultra Stick 1.2 m and inspired by the classic ParkZone Ember models, the E-flite UMX Slow Ultra Stick is a "slow-flying" ultra-micro that can be flown in more places and tight spaces! Use a range of 1S batteries to fly indoors in gyms, garages and other suitable spaces, or to fly outdoors, almost anywhere, in calm or light wind conditions. The UMX Slow Ultra Stick is capable of moving slowly and easily, and performing basic aerobatics like loops. You can even install the optional LED lighting set for flying in low-light conditions and at night. What's more, you can choose between two factory-assembled versions: the handy all-in-one RTF (Ready-To-Fly) version which includes: a Spektrum battery, charger and SLT6 transmitter equipped with a USB-C port for direct connection to a PC enabling easy plug-and-play use of the included trial version of the RC RealFlight Trainer Edition flight simulator. Or the basic BNF (Bind-N-Fly®) version for cost-effective flying using your own Spektrum DSMX/SLT-compatible transmitter, battery and charger. Either way, you can fly almost anywhere, in less time than it takes to charge a battery!

Overview

The E-flite UMX Slow Ultra Stick has a simple, affordable design. It's also incredibly easy and fun to evolve for beginner or experienced pilots looking for a "no-brainer" flying experience, almost anywhere, that they can't get with any other model! Based on the more modern design of the Slow Ultra Stick 1.2 m, and inspired by similar "slow flying" models of the past, it can be flown in more places and more confined spaces - indoors and out. Use a 1S 100-150 mAh battery to fly inside garages, conference rooms and gymnasiums. Or use a battery up to 210 mAh to fly outdoors almost anywhere in calm or light wind conditions. You can even fly in low light and at night after installing the optional LED light set (EFL-1113)!

The Ready-To-Fly (RTF) version includes everything you need to fly in a single box, and is the perfect choice if you're looking for maximum convenience and the best value for money. There's nothing more to buy or add. You're supplied with: the Spektrum SLT6 2.4 GHz transmitter, which you can use with other Bind-N-Fly® (BNF) Basic aircraft compatible with SLT FHSS technology, the 1S 150 mAh LiPo battery and a handy USB charger that can be used with different power sources! A BNF Basic version is also available for pilots who wish to use their favorite Spektrum DSMX-equipped transmitter, as well as the batteries and chargers they may already own. Both versions include the exclusive AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies as options, as well as a reliable power system featuring a "pop-off" propeller backup system, a control unit including ESC, servos and a dual-protocol receiver (DSMX and SLT FHSS). All factory-installed in the lightweight but durable airframe that's almost ready to fly right out of the box. Install the wing by snapping it on quickly and easily, and you'll be flying in no time!

While we recommend learning to fly RC with one of our specially designed trainer aircraft, such as the HobbyZone® Apprentice STOL S 700 mm, the RTF version also includes a Steam® key to download and activate a trial version of the RealFlight® Trainer Edition RC flight simulator. This simulator includes many of the most popular Horizon Hobby trainer aircraft and helicopters, plus integrated virtual flight instructor lessons. This helps beginner and/or low-flying-time pilots learn to fly successfully by training on a desktop computer at home, or on a laptop anywhere else! Simply use a USB-C cable to connect the included SLT6 transmitter to a compatible USB port on your computer to fly for up to 100 minutes. Then purchase RealFlight Trainer Edition or Evolution to fly whenever and for as long as you like!
