The Habu STS 70mm EDF is based on the legendary Habu, one of the finest high-performance electric turbine (EDF) sport jet platforms ever created. E-flite® engineers have optimized its design to improve handling and low-speed performance, and added options to take advantage of exclusive Spektrum™ SAFE® flight-assist technology and innovative Smart components.
As a result, the Habu STS 70mm EDF is the easiest RC jet to fly and the perfect choice to satisfy any RC pilot's desire to fly a jet! OPTIMIZED FOR EASY FLYING Designed to improve handling and low-speed performance for easier flying and landing, the Eflite ® Habu STS (Smart Trainer with SAFE®) 70mm EDF makes learning to fly a jet as your first radio-controlled aircraft a success! Based on one of the best electric turbine (EDF) sports jets ever designed, it has been optimized with the addition of SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology, offering beginner, intermediate and experienced flight modes to facilitate successful flight, especially with the help of an instructor.
The inclusion of exclusive Spektrum™ Smart components including a lithium polymer (LiPo) battery and charger make correct and safe charging more convenient (battery and charger sold separately for PNP version). The wide, tricycle landing gear, with steerable front wheel and oversized tires, enables take-off and landing on surfaces ranging from hard-surfaced runways to grass.
What's more, you can install the optional Landing Assist Sensor (LAS), which "engages" automatically for smoother landings to make learning to land even easier! Best of all, the EPO airframe assembles quickly and easily, without glue or special tools, meaning you can be ready to fly in less time than it takes to charge a battery.
And the fun doesn't stop once you've learned to fly! In experienced mode, the Habu STS 70mm EDF is capable of performing aerobatic maneuvers, including loops, rolls, inverted flight and much more. You can use a 3S battery (included with the RTF version, sold separately for the PNP version) for an excellent balance of power and flight time, or you can install an optional 4S battery for more speed and thrust without the need for modifications or upgrades (4S battery and compatible charger sold separately for both versions).
