The North American-Rockwell OV-10 Bronco was designed as a versatile military aircraft that was used as an attack and light observation platform. In the final years of the Vietnam War and during Operation Desert Storm, the Bronco excelled in anti-guerrilla operations, air support and utility missions. Many are still in service today, notably with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) to help fight and prevent forest fires.
As a scaled-down but still large-scale alternative to the 30cc version, the Hangar 9 OV-10 Bronco 20cc is modelled on the aircraft flown by CAL FIRE. It is compatible with popular 20cc petrol engines and equivalent electric power systems, making it practical and affordable for a wide range of pilots!
