The frigate BERLIN was one of the first charter vessels made available by the Brandenburg Navy to Prince Friedrich Wilhelm. Built in 1674, the ship was part of the Brandenburg fleet until 1688. The model reproduces the ship in every detail; the aft ornamentation is particularly meticulous, in cast and gilded metal. The hull is made of couples and edged with high-quality wood strips. 4 large tables make up the plan, complete with numerous illustrations, 1:1 scale diagrams and photos of the model.
