Skill Level 2 – Some experience required

Level 2 aircraft, like this one, are suitable for RC pilots who already have some experience and the skills needed to assemble, set up, and fly similar models. Although this is the easiest Gee Bee model to fly to date, it is not suitable for beginners or inexperienced RC pilots after a trainer aircraft. Before attempting to fly the UMX Gee Bee R-2, it's essential to have the experience and skills required to successfully fly other higher-performance ultra-micro models, such as the various UMX Timber models, or larger models like the E-flite T-28 Trojan 1.1m, Commander mPd 1.4m, Timber 1.5m models, or other similar aircraft.

This UMX Gee Bee R-2 510mm model is equipped with exclusive Spektrum AS3X and SAFE Select technologies. AS3X works quietly behind the scenes to counter the effects of wind and turbulence, providing outstanding stability and making it feel like you're flying a much larger aircraft. The optional SAFE Select feature offers pitch and roll limits, as well as an automatic self-leveling mode, which can be turned on or off at the flick of a switch. This flat foam model is therefore the easiest to fly ever designed!

Superior Performance

The factory-installed brushless power system features a much quieter outrunner motor that is 2S and 3S compatible. This setup provides similar performance to the original configuration with 2S 280–300mAh batteries (a JST-RCY to JST-PH adapter, such as SPMXCA327, may be required). However, it becomes significantly faster and offers unlimited vertical climb capability with 3S 300mAh batteries.

Telemetry Compatible

The UMX Gee Bee is equipped with a control unit/flight controller including an ESC and a Spektrum receiver providing real-time flight battery voltage telemetry to compatible transmitters equipped with Spektrum AirWare (including DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6 to 20, iX12 to 20 and more) while you fly.

Durable Design

Constructed from an advanced material such as EPS, it offers a lightweight and strong airframe, as well as many more precise surface details. It is also lighter and stiffer than EPO or EPP. It's also easy to repair using odorless, foam-safe cyanoacrylate glue, Foam 2 Foam glue, epoxy, and other suitable adhesives. If any airframe parts or components are damaged beyond repair, a full range of replacement parts is available.
