Skill Level 3 – Experience Required
Level 3 aircraft, like this one, are suitable for experienced RC pilots who already master the assembly, setup, and flying of similar models. This PNP version requires more experience and skills for assembly and flying than the basic BNF Basic version, as you will need to install a receiver that does not already have the properly set up AS3X+ and SAFE Select technologies. You must have the experience and skills necessary to successfully assemble and fly models such as the E-flite T-28 Trojan 1.1m, Valiant 1.3m, Commander mPd 1.4m, Turbo Timber Evolution 1.5m, or other similar models before attempting to fly the Twin Otter 1.4m PNP version.
Unique Capabilities
Differential thrust and optional motor/thrust reversal (standard on the BNF Basic version; Smart-compatible receiver required for the PNP version) improve ground handling, making taxiing, takeoffs, and landings easier, as well as enabling special aerobatic maneuvers. These two features are also very useful for flying from water with the optional floats, sold separately or as part of a value combo (these same floats are also used on the Timber 1.2m and 1.5m models).
3S and 4S Compatible
The factory-installed twin brushless power system includes a 25-amp Spektrum Avian Dual Smart Lite ESC and specially tuned motors that deliver outstanding thrust with a single 3S 2200–3200mAh LiPo battery. You can also install a 4S battery for even more power and unlimited vertical performance, without any modifications or upgrades!

The Twin Otter 1.4m features a wealth of details, such as molded panel lines, corrugated control surfaces, wipers, handles, antennas, and more. It is also equipped with functional flaps for better slow flight handling and shorter takeoffs and landings. In addition, factory LED lighting, including navigation and landing lights, enhances its realism and authenticity.
Easy Assembly
Final assembly requires no glue or special tools. The Twin Otter 1.4m is ready to fly in less time than it takes to charge a battery! Plus, although its dimensions are convenient to fit into almost any vehicle once assembled, you can also remove the two-piece wing thanks to hands-free connections for easier storage and transport.

The EPO airframe, light yet durable, is composite-reinforced for added strength. It features a sturdier nose wheel that is easier to repair and maintain, as well as a more robust metal-geared digital servo for steering and rudder control.
