Skill Level 2 – Next step after a trainer model – Some experience required

Skill Level 2 – Next step after a trainer plane: this model is suitable for RC pilots who have already learned to fly a trainer model and have the skills required to assemble, set up, and fly similar aircraft. While this is one of the most capable and easiest-to-fly Decathlon models ever designed, it is not recommended for beginners as a first RC airplane. You must have the experience and skills to successfully fly a trainer model such as the HobbyZone AeroScout 1.1m and Carbon Cub 1.3m, or models like the E-flite T-28 Trojan 1.1m, Valiant 1.3m, Turbo Timber Evolution 1.5m, and other similar aircraft before attempting to fly the Super Decathlon 1.2m.

Exclusive Technologies

The BNF Basic version of the Super Decathlon 1.2m comes factory-equipped with a Spektrum AR631+ receiver, featuring exclusive Spektrum AS3X+ and SAFE Select technologies. Enhanced AS3X+ technology optimizes wind and turbulence handling for even more precise flight, making it feel like you’re flying a much larger aircraft. With the (optional) SAFE Select function, you can activate bank and roll limits and automatic self-leveling at the flip of a switch. If you wish to fly without SAFE Select features, just bind the receiver normally and only AS3X+ technology will be active.

Smart Transmitter File

This BNF aircraft is equipped with a receiver that includes a Smart programming file (STF) which simplifies transmitter programming in just a few clicks. When you bind your transmitter to an STF-compatible aircraft, all programming parameters are automatically downloaded from the receiver. Switch assignments, rates, expo, telemetry, and voice alerts are set up automatically. No more lengthy instructions and tedious adjustments. One click and you’re ready to fly.

Versatile Power

The factory-installed brushless power system features a 45-amp Spektrum Avian Smart Lite ESC and a specially tuned motor that delivers plenty of thrust with a 3S 2200mAh LiPo battery, or more speed and unlimited vertical performance with a battery up to 4S 3200mAh, with no modifications or upgrades required.
