Level 3 airplanes like this one are suitable for RC pilots who already have experience with "next step" and higher-level models, as well as the skills required to assemble, setup, and fly similar aircraft. Although this is the easiest-to-fly OV-10 Bronco model to date, it is not recommended as a beginner's first RC airplane. You must be able to confidently fly models such as the E-flite UMX Timbers, UMX Twin Otter, Micro DRACO, Micro Scrappy, or larger twin-engine models before attempting to fly the Micro OV-10 Bronco.

The optional SAFE Select feature offers bank and pitch limits along with automatic self-leveling, which can be switched on or off with a simple gesture, making it even easier to fly this OV-10. SAFE Select also includes an automatic Hand Launch Assist, which detects the force of your throw and increases elevator to allow the plane to climb at a higher angle for a few seconds, making launches easier.
Telemetry capability
The Micro OV-10 Bronco is equipped with a control unit that includes a receiver and ESCs, providing a wide range of real-time telemetry data about the power system, including overall battery voltage, current draw, and more – when using Smart and non-Smart batteries – to compatible transmitters equipped with Spektrum AirWare (including DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6 to 20, iX12 to 20, and others) while you fly.

The factory-installed twin brushless power system features powerful 3S-compatible outrunner motors and counter-rotating propellers. This setup delivers excellent speed and vertical performance, as well as long flight times, when used with the recommended 600–850 mAh 30+C LiPo batteries with IC2 connector.
Multiple options
You can use the included fixed landing gear – with a steerable nose wheel – to taxi, take off from, and land on smooth surfaces.
