The KAVAN V5 is an entry-level 24-channel RC set using a 2.4 GHz ACCESS or ACCST transmission system with full telemetry support. It offers an exceptional response time of up to 4 ms and a range of several dozen kilometers. It is equipped with the brand new, lightweight and optimized ECOS operating system, which simplifies use, adjustments, and getting started. The V5 can be paired with a wide range of KAVAN or FrSky receivers, with or without telemetry, featuring classic PWM and serial outputs.
The V5 is a compact, lightweight, and portable radio. It is suitable for flying a wide variety of airplanes as well as helicopters and multirotors. It can also be easily configured for boats or ground models. This is made possible thanks to a range of functions and mixing options available in the ECOS operating system.
For control, it is equipped with a pair of precise sticks with potentiometers. Additional functions are controlled via 1 three-position switch, 2 two-position switches, 1 rotary knob, 4 navigation buttons, and 4 digital trims. The layout of the controls and the ergonomics of the case are inspired by the proven and extensively tested design of the V20 and V15 transmitters.
The transmitter case is robust and fits perfectly in the hand. Textured grooves on the sides and back of the case ensure a firm, comfortable, and secure grip, with all controls within easy reach. Of course, the spring tension and ratchet mechanism can be adjusted to fine-tune mode and responsiveness according to personal preferences.
The integrated flash memory can store up to 32 models. A USB-C connector allows access to the memory and also serves for charging. Charging the 2S 2600 mAh Li-ion battery is managed by an integrated balancer.
