The Pilot-RC Extra NG 90″ is a radio-controlled aircraft designed for precision aerobatics and 3D flight. With its wingspan of 2.29 m and wing area of 9,224 cm², it is intended to be equipped with a 50 to 76 cc gas engine or an equivalent electric setup.
Its airframe combines a wooden structure with composite elements that reinforce the fuselage and wings. The covering is applied over a German-made Oracover base.
The model features the Pilot-RC quick assembly system for the wings, stabilizer, SFGs, and canopy. The wings and stabilizer are removable to facilitate transport and storage. The removable canopy also makes battery access easier in an electric configuration.
The hinges are factory-installed, glued, and pinned. The engine mounting position is laser-engraved. The engine cowl is attached from the inside, with only two screws accessible under the fuselage. The open structure makes installing a canister-type muffler easier.
