Designed by McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) and Northrop, the F/A-18 Hornet is used by the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps as a combat and attack platform. The air forces of several other countries also fly the F-18. This replica is based on the two-seat F/A-18D variant, operated primarily by the U.S. Marine Corps in night attack and forward air control. The decorations and colors are taken from the U.S. Marine Attack Squadron 242 - the "Bats" - based in Iwakuni, Japan. An all-new design for experienced RC pilots, the F-18 Hornet 80mm EDF E-flite® offers exceptional flying qualities highlighted by an abundance of model details and functional features, including factory-installed LED lights, pendulum stabilizers, operational flaps and more.
To fly, add a 6S 4000 to 7000mAh battery (EC5 or IC5 connector), a charger and a Spektrum DSM2/DSMX 6 to 7 channel or higher radio control.
