The Flywing AS350 470L replicates the distinctive lines of the AS350 Écureuil, also known as the Squirrel or AStar depending on the market. This 470 class scale RC helicopter comes in an RTF version, already assembled, tuned, and equipped with its electronics.

Its main rotor with three quickly removable blades, detailed fuselage, and 810 mm rotor diameter give it a real presence in flight. The model is intended for pilots seeking the realism of a scale helicopter with the electronic assistance of a modern flight system.

ACE Flight Controller with GNSS Positioning

The Flywing AS350 is equipped with the ACE flight controller paired with an M10 GNSS module. The system utilizes multiple satellite constellations, including GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo, to ensure outdoor positioning of the helicopter.

Two main flight modes are available:

  • GPS mode: automatic position and altitude hold;
  • ATT mode: attitude stabilization for more direct control while still retaining electronic assistance.

When satellite reception is sufficient, Flywing claims a positioning accuracy of:

  • ±1.5 m on the horizontal plane;
  • ±0.5 m on the vertical axis.

Multiple Auto-Return Functions

The ACE controller includes several functions designed to secure the flight:

Realistic Turning Behavior

The coordinated turn assistance automatically combines rudder input with the tilt of the helicopter. This allows for smoother trajectories and a turning attitude closer to that of a full-size helicopter.

Various sensitivity settings allow you to adapt the model's behavior to the pilot's skill level and the desired type of flight.

Direct Drive Brushless Motorization

The main rotor is powered by a 3508 brushless motor paired with a 60A brushless controller. This direct drive architecture reduces the number of mechanical transmission components and aims to improve responsiveness and simplify maintenance.

The tail rotor also uses an independent brushless motor.

Up to 20 Minutes of Flight Time

Flight time can reach up to 20 minutes. The actual duration depends on the battery used, its condition, piloting style, wind, and how various flight functions are used.

An RTF Helicopter Almost Ready to Fly

The AS350 comes assembled and tuned with its 2.4 GHz transmitter. For transportation purposes, however, the three main blades must be installed before the first flight.
