The Pilot-RC Extra 330SX 103″ is a large-scale radio-controlled aerobatic aircraft, developed to combine high-speed precision, agility, and low-speed stability. This 120 cc category model features a wingspan of 2.639 m and a wing area of 12,420 cm².
Its airframe uses a hybrid construction combining wood with composite materials to reinforce the fuselage and wings. The covering is applied over an original German Oracover base.
The Pilot-RC quick assembly system is used for the wings, stabilizer, and canopy. The stabilizer can be installed without tools, reducing setup time at the field. Both the wings and stabilizer are removable for easier transport and storage.
The hinges are installed, glued, and pinned at the factory. The engine cowl is mounted from the inside to preserve the external appearance of the fuselage. The engine mounting position is laser-engraved, and the open structure makes it easier to install canister-type mufflers.
The removable main landing gear consists of two independent components. The rudder control uses a pull-pull system.
