This high-performance thermal glider is a true gem for any amateur modeler. There's nothing more enjoyable than flying peacefully on a summer day beneath white cumulus clouds, spiraling in a thermal, or enjoying the calm of the evening to glide in silence, letting your model fly almost by itself...
But the CUMUL 100 goes far beyond this simple tranquility. Thanks to its full-house wing equipped with ailerons and flaps, you can exploit the full potential of your programmable remote control:
Optimized flight configurations for piercing the air in search of thermals,
Increased lift in thermals,
Ultra-efficient butterfly airbrakes for precision landings...
These are just a few examples of the many possibilities available.
And for competition-oriented pilots, the CUMUL 100 complies with the international FAI F5J rules, as well as numerous national categories such as "All-Up-Last-Down" and endurance events.
100% Czech Design & Manufacture
The CUMUL 100 is a self-build kit designed for demanding hobbyists. It can be configured as a pure glider or powered version (with a KAVAN C2836 or AXI 2217 brushless motor). It's an excellent project for modelers looking for a sporty and versatile model for recreational or advanced flying.
The design is carefully thought out, with CNC-cut parts that fit together precisely, greatly facilitating assembly. The kit includes all the necessary parts for both versions (glider and electric). Although assembly is relatively simple, this model is not intended for absolute beginners.
Technical Specifications
Fuselage: Molded fiberglass nose with removable canopy, providing access to the servos (rudder and elevator), receiver, motor, ESC, and battery (for the electric version). A cutting template is provided for motor installation.
Tail boom: Carbon tube with Liteply/balsa sandwich pylon for elevator. Adjustable tow hook included.
Three-piece wing:
AG 40-42 profile
Conventional structure with CNC-cut balsa ribs
D-box leading edge
I-beam main spar: Spruce strips + balsa cores
Removable winglets with carbon fiber keys and aluminum alignment pins
Flaps and ailerons operated by 4 internal servos
Wing attached to the fuselage via two plastic screws
Empenplane: Entirely CNC-machined balsa with wood reinforcements. The elevator is removable for easy transport. Controls via rigid pushrods via the fuselage.
