Programmable microprocessor ESC for brushless, sensorless AC motors ("brushless, sensorless") for recreational and sport aircraft models with LiPo/Li-ion/LiFe battery power. It uses advanced optimized control technology to significantly improve throttle response and power stage control efficiency. The ESC design takes into account the high long-term load capacity and durability required in models with a large number of servos. The ESCs are equipped with a powerful switching BEC with selectable output voltage to power the receiver and servos from the drive battery. A special KAVAN PRO LED programming card, supplied separately, is used to facilitate ESC setup.

DESCRIPTION AND FUNCTIONS OF THE ESC

The ESC is equipped with a high performance 32-bit ARM M4 microprocessor with a clock rate of up to 72 MHz and is compatible with most brushless motors.

Suitable for the vast majority of aircraft brushless motors powered by LiPo/Li-ion/LiFe 2-4S batteries.

Special power stabilizer for the microprocessor for high immunity to interference and reduced risk of loss of control.

Optimized control technology significantly improves throttle response and power stage control efficiency and reduces ESC temperature.

Powerful switching BEC with 5.2 V output voltage and 2.5 A continuous and 4 A peak load capacity. The BEC is decoupled from other controller circuitry, it can maintain proper operation even if the MOSFET transistors on the controller's power supply board burn out.

Normal/Soft/Very Soft start modes are suitable for normal propeller aircraft and models with EDF.

Easy programming and adjustment using the KAVAN PRO LED transmitter or programming board.

A special programming cable to connect the ESC to the LED programming board allows the user to program the ESC anytime, anywhere (see the KAVAN PRO LED programming board manual for details).

The normal/proportional/reverse braking modes (especially the reverse mode) can effectively reduce the range after landing.

A number of protection functions: startup protection, ESC thermal protection, capacitor thermal protection, overload protection, overcurrent protection, abnormal supply voltage protection, and control signal loss protection effectively extend the life of the ESC.

Calibrate the throttle range to perfectly match the control signal of your RC kit.

PROGRAMMABLE FUNCTIONS

Brake type Brake off, normal brake (with 7 levels of adjustable braking intensity), proportional brake (controlled by throttle: 0-20% throttle deviation corresponds to 100-0% brake, 20-100% throttle deviation corresponds to 0-100% throttle), reversal (allows you to activate reversal of the running motor through another channel with a switch).

Braking force: Braking intensity is adjustable from level 1 to level 7 for "Normal Brake" mode.

Type of cutoff: Soft Cutoff: ESC gradually reduces the power to 50% of full power within 3 seconds after the voltage protection is activated. Hard Cutoff.

Number of LiPo cells: We recommend a manual setting for a reliable 100% voltage protection function. The ESC will automatically calculate the number of cells in the connected battery according to the "3.7V per cell" rule if you select automatic detection.

Cut-off voltage: The threshold level of the voltage protection is adjustable from 2.8 to 3.8 V/cell; the protection can also be completely disabled.

BEC voltage: The BEC voltage is adjustable to 5.2 V, 6.0 V or 7.4 V.

Starting mode: Normal start (instant start), soft start (with slow start for motors with large propeller, gearbox or smaller EDF), very soft start (with very slow start for motors with large propeller, gearbox or EDF from 90 mm).

Timing: Adjustable from 0 to 30°.

Motor direction: CW/CCW

WD Freewheel: This feature can be turned on or off to provide better linearity or smoother throttle response.

ESC PROTECTION FUNCTIONS

Start-up Protection ESC measures engine speed at start-up. If the speed stops increasing, or if the increase is not stable, the ESC considers it an improper start. If the throttle is less than 15% at this point, the ESC will automatically attempt to restart the engine; if the throttle is more than 15%, you must pull the throttle control all the way down to restart the engine.

ESC Thermal Protection: The engine will "stall" if the ESC temperature exceeds 110°C, indicating that the thermal protection has been activated. If the throttle is reduced to less than 60% at this time, the "stall" disappears and the ESC provides power to match the throttle position. If you move the throttle above 60%, the "stall" reappears. The temperature of the ESC must not exceed 70°C when switched on, otherwise the engine cannot be started.

Loss of signal protection The ESC immediately shuts down the motor if there is no signal for 0.25 s to prevent further damage and risk due to a rapidly rotating rotor or propeller. As soon as a normal signal is received, t
